GOOD NEWS: PEACE WITH GOD

God made you in his image, with dignity and purpose: to know him, love him, and reflect his goodness. He is perfectly holy, loving, and just. (Genesis 1:27)

Yet every one of us has turned away from him: all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23, ESV). Sin includes our pride, dishonesty, selfishness, and failure to love God and our neighbors. It reaches into our hearts and leaves us guilty before God. Its consequences are death and eternal judgment. We cannot erase our guilt by doing better or becoming religious. (Romans 6:23; Matthew 25:46)

But God has acted in love to save sinners. The Father sent his eternal Son, Jesus Christ, who became truly human while remaining truly God. Jesus lived the sinless life we have failed to live. On the cross, he willingly bore the judgment sinners deserve to bring us back to God: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us (Romans 5:8, ESV).

Jesus died and was buried. On the third day, he rose bodily from the dead and appeared to witnesses. He is alive today, reigning as Lord. He will return, and everyone who belongs to him will rise to everlasting life. (1 Corinthians 15:3–8, 20–26)

Salvation is God’s gift: For by grace you have been saved through faith. (Ephesians 2:8, ESV) Grace is God’s undeserved kindness. Faith means relying on Jesus Christ alone to save you. God forgives and accepts everyone who trusts in Christ because of Christ’s righteousness and saving work. You cannot earn this gift. (Romans 3:21–28)

Jesus calls you to repent and believe in the gospel (Mark 1:15, ESV). Repentance means acknowledging your sin and turning to God for forgiveness and a changed life. Entrust yourself to Jesus as Savior and Lord. You do not need to make yourself worthy before coming; come needing his mercy.

Everyone who trusts Christ receives forgiveness, peace with God, and the Holy Spirit’s renewing help. Good works grow from salvation; they cannot purchase it. Following Jesus means learning from Scripture, praying, loving others, and sharing life in a faithful local church, including baptism and worship. (Romans 5:1–5; Ephesians 2:8–10, 19–22)

Come to Jesus today. His promise is sure: whoever comes to me I will never cast out (John 6:37, ESV).
